Troops to go on the Streets Before Elections Commence

The National Council of State yesterday approved the deployment of troops across the country 48 hours before elections to avert violence, Hafiz Ringim, the Inspector General of the Police has said. Mr. Ringim said at a briefing at the Presidential Villa after a meeting of security heads that the deployment of the military, regular and mobile police officers and other security agents is expected to deflect any political, religious and ethnic inspired violence during the polls, which is expected to begin on Saturday. - 234next

Terry Tha Rapman Kicks Off Bans Tour At Scintilla Nite Club

Terry Tha Rapman will be kicking off his Boyz Are Not Smiling club tour at the Scintilla nite-club, Lekki, on the 2nd of April, 2010. Other acts scheduled to perform with the BANS leader are Knight House’s pop princess Mo’ Cheddah, grimy street rapper Cartiair and super-talent producer and artiste Ex-O. On the wheels of steel will be
the Boyz Are Not Smiling official DJ, Dee Jay X-Chris.

Admission into the event is free and the latest version of the highly famous BANS T-shirts will be up for sale. This event officially kicks off Terry Tha Rapman’s club tour which will spread nationwide. Other venues and dates will be announced shortly.

Munachi and Michael Word shoot Pop Sugar video

At last, the video for the song Pop Sugar by RMG artistes Michael Word and former beauty queen Muna has been produced and will soon hit your TV screens in Nigeria. The 2 day shoot was filmed on location and also on a double soundstage on the mainland of Lagos. The video also feature the producer of the song Sarz in a cameo role. Pop Sugar video was produced by DJ Tee Films and directed by Superman. Watch out for the video in a few weeks time.

Michael Word is an R&B singer and producer signed to The RMG Company. His debut album Euphony will be released in July 2011.
