South African Far-right leader killed























Eugene Terreblanche, 69, the South African white far-right leader, who fought to preserve apartheid in the early 1990s, has been beaten and hacked to death at his farm.

Police said Terreblanche was attacked at his farm while taking a nap outside of Ventersdorp, on Saturday, allegedly in a dispute over unpaid wages, the Johannesburg Star newspaper reported.

Local media quoted another party member as saying he was beaten with pipes and machetes. Terreblanche's body was found on the bed with facial and head injuries,"

Two workers, a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested and charged with murder.

Terreblanche, had kept a low public profile since his release in 2004 from prison after serving three years of a five-year term for for attempted murder.
