Pic of pastor Kumuyi and his new wife. Explains why he re-married
Kumuyi and his 65year old new wife, Esther |
General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi took a new wife last week in London. When the news broke, it sparked mixed reactions. While some felt it was in order, not a few wondered why the 71-year old cleric needed a new wife.
Dressed in a modest suit, Pastor William Kumuyi and Esther Blaize, clad in a pink and purple skirt suit, exchanged the marriage vow last Wednesday. Guests were later ushered into the Crowne Plaza Hotel, London for a reception ceremony. And just like that, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry got married for the second time. Two days ago, key leaders of the church across the country, who were not privileged to attend the modest ceremony, were made to watch the video of the proceedings.
Pastor Kumuyi lost his first wife, Biodun on April 11 last year. He took the news with calm. He even went on to handle the convention and shocked many by preaching at the funeral of his late wife.
At the time of her death, Kumuyi was 70 years old. When asked last year if he was going to take a new wife, he said it was too early to think of that. With his age, not a few also thought he might just stay unmarried for the rest of his life.
A statement by the church yesterday said Kumuyi’s decision to remarry was not entirely his. The statement endorsed on his behalf by the church’s Secretary, Pastor L Nnadozie said his marriage to Esther sparked joy and spontaneous happiness among members of the church.
The statement reads: “Pastor Kumuyi had lost his wife, Biodun in April last year. The death of the woman affectionately called ‘mummy’ or ‘mama’ by members of the church, became a cause for concern for leaders in the church as she was almost inseparable from her husband. The church leaders were so concerned that the pastor must not remain lonely, that they led a delegation to encourage him to begin praying to God to give him another wife. The leaders also began praying for their pastor to get another partner. Although initially reluctant, Pastor Kumuyi later prayed and testified to the leaders that God had answered their prayers. This is what culminated in the marriage ceremony in London.”
The statement revealed that the new wife, whose other names are Folashade Aduke, is the National and International Woman Co-odinator of the church. She is 65. And wait for this: she was never married, because, according to Nnadozie, she committed her life to the Lord.

Alicia Keys is a mother so so inlove...
Alicia Keys' new baby has her feeling like she's never felt before.
From Alicia's blog...
From Alicia's blog...
"Every moment is beautiful; delicious even! Every moment I'm learning and living in a way I never have before. Being present in a way I never have before. Existing in moments I never have before.
Never have I felt so calm, so purposeful in taking the time to truly observe the world around me, to live in it fully and watch it, discuss it, put time toward it. It feels really incredible - so peaceful, so complete and long overdue.
I'm grown, I'm confident, I'm secure, and so blessed to be these things.
I'm most enamored with anatomy at this point. The miracle of the human body. The ability to create all these small amazing machines of veins, capillaries, digestive systems, eyes, ears and noses. I can spend HOURS looking at one little EAR! Have u ever noticed how complex just an ear is? A tiny maze of art. It may sound silly but it's so true. Or a heartbeat? Everyday we wake up and in some way, take for granted the fact that this beautiful pulsating organ in our body is the reason, and yet now that's all I can think of...
And breath; invisible as it may be, how necessary!
Ain't it true that things we really can't see are of the greatest importance?
I've never seen a more beautiful face in my LIFE! The most perfect eyes and beautiful nose, the sweetest lips and skin so soft and kissable!
Never have I felt such disbelief, such awe, humility, godliness, such strength, power and possibility.
I've never believed in greatness and the never ending Higher Power more than now!
And I can't believe he's mine!
Oooh! I feel a song coming on..."
Exclusive pictures of P-Square's N500m mansion
Before you see the pics, here's what Peter Okoye said about the twin duplex and how much it cost:
"Getting a land in Omole Estate (Ikeja, Lagos) alone is N100m. When you look at the house, especially the finishing, it is over $2million. When people speculated that the house was worth N300 million, we had not even finished the interior. What do you think is the cost of a mansion that has a swimming pool, six living rooms, ten master bedrooms, all fully furnished? It's far more than the speculated N300million"

D'Banj clashes with Clarence Peters
Here's how Chilee Agunanna of Encomium mag is reporting it:
Daggers are drawn between D'banj and prolific music video director, Clarence Peters. This is as a result of a misunderstanding they had concerning the direction of the video of D'Banj's song - Scape Goat.
The story has it that Dbanj had approached Clarence to direct the video and the latter had provided the budget for it to D'Banj personal manager. According to the director, he presented a unique and costly concept which would have cost around N5million. But seeing that it was on the high side, he had proposed a partnership between his Capital Hills outfit and Mo'Hits which would halve the cost. D'Banj and his people felt offended by the price and waited for their next meeting with the director.
The meeting took place on Monday Oct 18th at the shoot of the MTV Independence anniversary. According to Clarence, D'banj said that he (Clarence) was calling him a 'maga' and trying to swindle him by presenting such a budget. "D'Banj and Bankuli, his personal manager called me all sorts of names and walked out of the shoot." Clarence said
"They talked to us rudely and we even had to restrain some of our crew from attacking them" rapper Illbliss who works with Clarence said.D'Banj's camp refused to respond to the matter
Why I allowed dad to impregnate me –16year old girl
• He promised to pay my school fees – Victim
• It’s devil’s handiwork –Suspect
A 16-year-old girl, who was allegedly impregnated by her father, has narrated how the randy man administered oath of secrecy on her before he deflowered her. She also narrated how the suspect, Sunday Olanrele, used payment of her school fees as a bait to turn her to a sex object.
She said: “I thought he was a good father. He gave me kolanut to eat and said I would die if I revealed the secret. So, he started kissing, and caressing me and later deflowered me. When blood started gushing out from my private part, he used pampers to cover it. I did not tell anyone because of fear.”
The victim disclosed how her mother told her to go and bring her school fees from her estranged husband, before he took advantage of it to have canal knowledge of her. “When I went there, my daddy started doing it again. He kept promising to give me the school fees. I ended up staying with him for many months and he was making love to me severally.”
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when she spent seven days with her father five months ago.“He slept with me all through and when I got home, I wanted to tell my mother but I was scared. So, I kept quiet,” she broke down in tears. The embattled girl also disclosed how her parents were estranged while her mother re-married, attributing it to her present ordeal.
According to her, their mother did not visit them for five years, while she (victim) was denied the opportunity of visiting her. It was when she wanted to commit suicide by drinking battery fluid that one of her aunties took her and her younger brother to Ikorodu, Lagos State. It was also from Ikorodu that she went to her father’s house. “While I was in my father’s house, he brought out a calabash and kolanut and told me to swear an oath that I would not divulge what he was about to do with me.”
She explained that when her monthly menstrual circle ceased, she did not bother to disclose it to anybody. But her mother was said to have got information about the pregnancy and took her to a pastor, where she spilled the beans. The pastor was said to have given her assurance that she would not die, if she disclosed what transpired between her and her father.
“I told him that my father was responsible for the pregnancy,” she said. The victim’s mother said she suspected foulplay immediately her daughter came back from her father’s house. “I started perceiving offensive odour and asked her if she visited someone else, apart from her father and she said no. I called the father on phone and inquired the time she left his house and he told me. I reasoned that if she had gone to another person’s house, she wouldn’t have got home the time she did. From there, I knew something was wrong,” she said, fuming.
The woman disclosed that she later brought a magazine and showed her a story of where a father impregnated his daughter.“She was devastated after reading the story. That was when I knew that the father had done something abominable.”Few weeks later, the girl started showing pregnancy symptoms. “I took her to the hospital for pregnancy test and it indicated that she was four months pregnant. I requested to know who was responsible and she refused to tell me,” she said.
That was when she took her to the pastor where she opened up. The angry mother said she was now faced with the shame associated with the stigma on the family. “I’m confused, I am ashamed of the stigma. The pregnancy is over five months now. So, abortion is out of it. I’m in a dilemma now. I can’t procure abortion of five months old foetus,” she lamented.
The suspect, who admitted committing the crime, said he didn’t know what came over him that made him to deflower his daughter.“I think, it is the devil’s plan to destroy me. I know it is an abominable act. I’m sorry, I regret my action. Nigeria police and my estranged wife should forgive me,” he said.

SSS, others intercept rocket launchers, bombs in Lagos
Shock greeted the news on Tuesday evening that a combined team of security agents had impounded 13 containers suspected to be loaded with arms and ammunition at Apapa Wharf in Lagos.
The discovery was made barely two weeks after a consignment of electronic equipment suspected to contain toxic materials was seized at the same port. The ship that brought in the consignment, however, disappeared from the port.
Almost four weeks ago, twin car bomb blasts killed 16 people and injured 66 others in Abuja on October 1.
An intelligence source told THE PUNCH that senior security officials swooped on the port, based on information that a suspicious cargo had been brought into the country from Iran.
The source said top officials from the Police, the State Security Service, the Directorate of Military Intelligence and Naval Intelligence participated in the operation.
It was gathered that the clearing agent had raised suspicion when he allegedly offered to “pay any amount” to get the containers transferred from AP Moller Terminal to an off-dock terminal.
The agent reportedly pleaded for the containers to be screened outside the ports. But his attempts failed, as information was passed to the relevant quarters on his suspicious actions. It was at this juncture that security agents were called in to search the containers. The unidentified importers of the consignment were said to have described its contents as building materials.
It was gathered that when the first container was opened, the security agents found various sizes of grenades, rocket launchers, bombs, assault rifles and heavy machine guns hidden in 24 crates of building tiles.
However, the source said, “We cannot quantify the contents yet. All we know for now is that they are concealed in tiles.”
The SSS Assistant Director, Public Relations, Mrs. Marilyn Ogar, confirmed the seizure to our correspondent on the telephone, saying the weapons were concealed among crates of floor tiles.
“On opening the first container, operatives discovered rocket launchers, grenades and other explosives,” she said.
She, however, declined to provide the identity of the vessel that brought in the containers and its final destination. Ogar confirmed that the containers’ manifest indicated they contained building materials. She said security agents would search the containers through the night.
Ogar said security agents got information after the October 1 twin bomb blasts in Abuja that “arms were being brought into the country.”
When contacted, the spokesman of the Nigeria Customs Service, Mr. Wale Adeniyi, said, “As I speak with you, the first container is still being examined. We understand they are 13 in number. The contents of the first showed it had mortals, bullets and such related items.”
Attempt to obtain a reaction from the First Secretary, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Sadeghazadeh, on Tuesday night failed as he did not answer calls to his phone. He did not also respond to an SMS.

New Technology May Help Women Grow Their Own Breasts
Scientists have been making headway in a field called tissue engineering, which could revolutionize the way women rebuild damaged organs, including breasts.
“It’s the first practical cell therapy,” says Chris Calhoun, CEO of San Diego-based biotech company Cytori Therapeutics. “And it’s breasts.”
What he means by that is that women who fall victim to breast cancer and have to have severe and disfiguring breast surgery will be able to simply grow a new pair with materials taken from their own body fat. This can also apply to women who simply want a new pair of breasts for purely cosmetic reasons.
A big reason this is so great is because only 25% of women who lose a breast to cancer get a new one, and this could change that.
Women can grow their own breasts? Nothing these oyibo won't do sha. Is this awesome or scary?
They should be fast with it abeg...:-)

“God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, ‘What did I do to deserve this?’ Why was it backfiring on me?’ But I needed that wake-up call in my life. I needed a turning point, and that’s what God was giving to me.”
"All this terrible stuff they say to you, it breaks you down,” she says. “[But] once you’re back on your feet — if you ever make it back on your feet — that’s the ultimate achievement.”
“I remember I was in New York at the Trump Hotel and I woke up and I just knew I was over it. It was a different day. I felt different. I didn’t feel lonely,” she recalls. “I felt like I wanted to get up and be in the world. That was a great, great feeling.”
