During the three-hour ceremony, the 49-year-old comedian insulted just about everyone in the film industry.
On Hollywood: ‘It’s an honour to be here in a room full of what I consider to be the most important people on the planet. Actors. They’re just better than ordinary people, aren’t they?’
On Golden Globes' President: "Eva Longoria has the daunting task of introducing Berk, the association's president. 'That's nothing, I just had to help him off the toilet and pop his teeth in."
On Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp for their film The Tourist: "Seems like everything this year was three-dimensional. Except the characters in The Tourist. I tell you what, I’m jumping on the bandwagon, because I haven’t even seen The Tourist. Who has?’
On Cher "No one has wanted to go to a Cher concert since 1975."
On Charlie Sheen: "It's going to be a night of partying and heavy drinking, or, as Charlie Sheen calls it, breakfast.'
On Angelina Jolie: "You can be a little child, a little Asian child, with no possessions, no money – but you see a picture of Angelina Jolie and you think, “Mummy!”’
On Sex And The City 2 cast: "The movie should have won the special effects award for ‘the team that airbrushed that poster. Girls, we know how old you are. I saw one of you in an episode of Bonanza.'
On Heather Mills: "Heather Mills must be thinking, that's the one that got away" referring to Mark Zuckerberg's $7billion fortunate.
And so on and so forth. Some people in Hollywood aren't happy about some of the things he said. In fact, some of the actors' agents have complained to Golden Globes organizers. The organisers aren't happy either.
The Golden Globes president lashed out at Ricky, saying: "We loved the show. It was a lot of fun and obviously has a lot of people talking. When you hire a comedian like Ricky Gervais, one expects in your face, sometimes outrageous material. Certainly, in this case, he pushed the envelope and occasionally went too far. The HFPA would never condone some of his personal remarks. Overall, however, the show was among the best we’ve ever had and we were pleased.”
Ricky couldn't care less. "This year, I went about right. If anyone was offended, then I don't care," Gervais told TVGuide.com.

So what do you think, did he go too far?
