Happy International Women's Day

Today Tuesday March 8,  marks the 100th anniversary of the International Women's Day (IWD), where women across the globe join in celebrating women's struggle for equality.

The anniversary which was first celebrated in Austria, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland in 1911 primarily celebrates the economic, political and socio-cultural achievements of  past, present, and future women.

The theme for  this year's International Women's Day is ' Equal access to education,training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women'
